5// A tad bit delayed, but here it is!

WELL! I am doing very badly with this whole blogging thing thus far! I do, however, have an excuse, sort of! Our internet here is fully crap and cuts out all the time--super dodgy! So hopefully it will last while I try to write this post!

Let's see, I'll try to cover the basic bases.

I'm living in a restored hostel that YWAM bought many years back called Lewis House. There are 80 of us living here (DTS and STS students, and also staffers)! My room is about 10x10 and I have 3 other roommates! There are 18 of us on my DTS team, made up of 15 girls and 3 guys. They're a bit outnumbered! Our school leaders are super awesome and I am learning so much already! My day starts at about 5:30am every morning and ends every night at about midnight, so I'm a little tired most of the time! We have about 6 hours of lectures Tuesday-Friday, work duty shifts every afternoon, and lots of work around the house, too! We DTS experienced our first Youth Street program on Saturday night and it was absolutely amazing. We had heaps of youth show up and at the end of the evening we bused everyone over the the Compassion International Australia Headquarters for a really amazing event called Not For Sale. It's an anti-slavery movement and if you haven't heard of it before you should totally check it out at notforsalecampaign.org or slaverymap.org to find out about human trafficking and how you can take action!!!

That's about all I have time for right now and all I will probably be able to post this week because we are heading out for a camping trip tomorrow and will be gone at Tahlee through Friday evening!

I will try to be a lot better about posting, though and hopefully will have something new on the weekend!

Lots of love and God Bless, everyone!
Thanks again for all of your prayers!

4// Tomorrow...

Well, it's 18.5 hours and counting until my flight departs for LAX tomorrow! I can't believe that the day is finally here! Getting to this point has been such an insanely awesome journey of faith and trust, growing me stronger in my walk of faith. God has TOTALLY provided in the area of support over the last several weeks through many of you and I am incredibly grateful! Without your support there's no way I would be shipping out (or flying, rather) tomorrow evening. Thank you all SO much for helping to support me as I seek to follow God's calling in my life!!!

I supposed I'd better head off now as it's 2:20am and I still have to pack my carry-on bags. I'm sure there'll be a nice exciting post that comes of my layover tomorrow night while I'm at LAX, so expect to hear from me soon! Until then, God Bless and please keep me in your prayers!

Lots of love,
Christy:)
